Home Conservation Rebates

In order to further promote water conservation, the District is announcing the following rebate program. Customers who convert their present plumbing or irrigation systems to newer “water saving” devices will be awarded the rebate shown. A letter to the District with a copy of a purchase receipt, and/or plumber’s invoice for installation, along with product documentation that describes the water savings expected will be required as proof. For more on the Energy Star government rating, visit their web site at www.energystar.gov.

This is not a retro-active policy (except as noted). Only upgrades made after January 1, 2008 will be eligible. NOTE: Gallon savings specifics described below are not hard and fast rules. Documentation that the device saves a significant amount of water as opposed to that originally installed is all that is necessary.

Application Rebate Forms: Provided are six application rebate forms for you to download (Adobe PDF format) and complete. Just click on the link below to open and print the rebate form. Should you have any questions regarding the forms or how to submit them, please contact the District office 488-3603.

Showerhead Rebate

Showerhead - $10 rebate to replace higher use showerheads (4 gallons per minute) with a more efficient showerhead (2.5 GPM).

Rain Sensor Rebate

Rain Sensor - $25 rebate to purchase a rain sensor that overrides an irrigation system when detecting rainfall.

Irrigation Controller Rebate

Irrigation Controller - $35 rebate to customers who do not already have an irrigation control (clock) that sets multiple days and time limits to conserve water.

Dishwasher Rebate

High Efficiency Dishwasher - $45 rebate on an approved model high efficiency dishwasher. Recommend an Energy Star rated machine.

Toilet Rebate

High Efficiency Toilet - $50 rebate for a high efficiency toilet that is rated to use no more that 1.6 gallons per flush.**

Washer Rebate

High Efficiency Washer - $100 rebate to replace higher water use washing machines (45 gallons per load) with low usage front load washers (18-25 gallons per load).  Recommend an Energy Star rated machine.

**  Toilet efficiency varies by design.  Some are simply designed with a smaller size tank and therefore flush less water.  However, experience shows that they often require two flush cycles to completely clear the bowl.  The high efficiency toilets eligible for a rebate are the high-pressure type that completely evacuate the bowl with one flush.
